Well, Winter is now here and we are all wondering where the year has gone.
February was very busy as we had our 3 yearly accreditation survey. All went well, with all 44 outcomes having been met. Our residents and relatives were very kind in their praise of our staff and the care we provide.
Albany is fast becoming known as the home of the ANZACS and a large crowd of people came to town again for the ANZAC day celebrations. Our residents started to get into the Australian spirit by having a big Australia Day celebration. We had singing and bush poetry, which everyone enjoyed.
This time of year is great for fishing in Albany and some of our residents enjoyed throwing a line in at the town jetty. Past experiences have usually shown that as soon as we plan a trip the wind comes up and spoils the day but hopefully the weather will be kind and we can enjoy the local fish.
