Currently in Clinical Development, the up-skilling of the RN/EN program is being finalised and implemented across all 6 facilities.
There are 12 competencies developed that relate to the education sessions which will be delivered over 4 half days with relevant competencies to follow. Competency testing of all RN’s and EN’s will be performed by the CCC’s and Nicole McKenzie Clinical Development Officer.
A training analysis/survey has been sent out to all nursing homes asking nursing staff to rate their current practice and knowledge. The survey has been designed to provide staff with an ability to advise Craigcare of what the RN/EN’s would like as further and ongoing professional development which will assist staff with CPD annually as well as AHPRA registration.
Corporate induction and orientation nationally is being reviewed and redesigned by our team whereby we will have one standardised delivery right through to our future vision as an innovative and growing Aged Care company. Self Directed Learning Packages are being reviewed to ensure they reflect current 'Best Practice'.
The process of how mandatory training is delivered is being reassessed and will therefore give us an opportunity to review where Craigcare needs to spend human and financial resources in the development and competence of our staff.
Clinical development is consistently working on projects to assist in the creation and delivery of professional, contemporary, relevant and ongoing education to assist our RN's and EN's to deliver excellent, holistic and person-centred care to our residents.
