We understand that admission to an aged care facility is a major event in a person’s life and can be stressful for both the individual resident and their family. The volume of information that needs to be taken in and understood can be very worrying and stressful. In addition, one of the most crucial factors is the resident’s perception of how much control over their life might be lost. We understand these issues and emotions and we set ourselves the task of ensuring that you understand what we do. To address this we have prepared a comprehensive Resident’s Handbook which contains all the information that you are likely to need. Our staff will be available to assist you at the time of your initial enquiry.

We hope that the information is helpful in assisting you with some of the aspects of day to day living with the Craigcare family. We would also suggest that you keep it to refer to from time to time. The Resident’s Handbook is part of the overall care programme so at all times please feel welcome to discuss any aspects of care with the Facility Manager, the Clinical Nurse Manager or indeed the Registered Nurse responsible for the delivery of care.
