You can choose between one and two bedroom units all of which enjoy views of our beautiful native gardens.

What services are provided at the village?

You’ll be excited by the scope and quality of the services provided, ranging from personal care to home maintenance. You can have meals delivered to your home, or served in the main dining room. Personal care services are available in the village, and can be provided in your own home.

Importantly, great emphasis has been placed on your security, both in terms of protection from intruders and enabling you to call for help, should you ever need it.
Our aim in designing Glenn-Craig has been to ensure that you will be able to enjoy your life to the full, free from niggling worries and responsibilities.

Am I eligible to live at Glenn-Craig?

Our community has been designed for people 65 years of age or older, but entry for younger applicants may be approved in certain circumstances.

How can I call for help in an emergency?

Every unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art emergency call system that is monitored 24 hours a day, so help will never be far away.

Can I stay at Glenn Craig for the rest of my life?

Yes, you can, unless ill-health creates the need for full nursing care. Even then, you are able to stay within the Craigcare family. All residents at Glenn-Craig qualify for priority admission to the Craigcare Albany nursing home, subject to availability of a place and meeting admission criteria.

What catering arrangements are available?

Each unit has a very well equipped kitchen. However, if you would prefer to have meals served with other residents in the dining room, or brought to you in your home, this can be arranged.

Does Glenn-Craig have a good security system?

All doors and windows are fitted with the security locks, the village has security lighting and the grounds are monitored at night, to give residents both physical protection and complete peace of mind about their security.

What housekeeping and personal care services are available?

Housekeeping, laundry and cleaning services are all available, together with a wide range of personal care services, including showering, dressing and grooming, assistance with meals, medications, shopping and companionship. Our experienced staff are available to help you select the services best suited to your personal requirements.

What facilities are available in the local area?

Public transport and local shopping are all within easy walking distance.

Are there gardens to walk in?

The grounds have been extensively landscaped, providing numerous level walkways and quiet seating areas for residents’ enjoyment.

Is there a programme of social activities?

You will be able to take part in a wide range of activities. Within the village there are facilities for arts and crafts, cards and snooker. The meeting room is a popular venue for regular entertainment and social events. In addition, frequent outings are organised to popular entertainment venues around Albany. You’ll find plenty to occupy your time!

Can friends come to stay with me?

You are welcome to have friends stay in your unit for limited periods.

• Easy to use lever action door handles.
• Sensor activated security light at front door (villas only).
• Built-in telephone/emergency call system with associated call buttons in bathrooms and toilets.
• Security screen doors fitted to the front entry of all villas and units and to the rear doors of all villas and ground level units.
• Security locks fitted to all windows.
• Smoke detectors installed in all units and villas with direct connection to the Nursing Home Fire Alarm Panel.
• Reverse cycle air-conditioning available for installation upon application
