Welcome to Craigcare Plumpton Villa from our experienced and wonderfully caring teams of nursing and allied health professionals. Our Facilities

Craigcare Plumpton Villa is a purpose built 90 bed nursing home, providing 45 Low Care and 45 High Care rooms, which is conveniently located in the quiet and pleasant residential area of Glenroy in Melbourne. The home benefits from many local facilities including shopping and local transport. The site and home are securely designed and incorporate many design features which capture the latest thinking in aged care design. The building incorporates much of the original Heritage villa on the site and many of its architectural features and rooms have been restored and adapted for use in this modern facility.

The home has been tastefully decorated throughout to give a truly home from home appearance and experience whilst remaining fully functional from the perspective of providing a first class care service.

Each individual bedroom is carefully thought out and benefits from its own ensuite bathroom and the majority enjoy external views of our internal courtyards and carefully landscaped gardens.

A bespoke and fully secure dementia specific unit is being established in the home to provide for the needs of such residents. The unit staff are well versed and experienced in caring for these residents needs. We have incorporated a secure, safe and calming courtyard garden environment in the design for the enjoyment of the residents.

The whole of the home is fully accessible by wheelchair.

Our facilities include television and lounge rooms, dining rooms, therapy room, shaded internal landscaped courtyards and our primary lounge which is the scene of many resident events and celebrations. The dedicated minibus allows the residents to participate in the regular organised outings.

We provide Low Care hostel accommodation, High Care nursing home accommodation, respite and emergency respite accommodation together with convalescent care.

Our Care

Residents enjoy friendly and professional care at all times with nursing care provided 24 hours a day which combined with our dedicated activities staff ensures the physical and social well being of each resident is maintained.

There are specially trained and skilled staff to meet the varying needs of all our residents.

Our allied health staff provide a range of services including:

What’s involved in securing a bed or an independent living unit?

In the first instance you should make contact with our facility manager or a member of our fabulous management team who will be happy to provide you with as much information about the home and its facilities as you require. You will also be able to arrange to visit the home where again our Manager will be pleased to help you with further information and personally tailored guidance and advice which will allow you and your loved ones to make an informed decision. They will also be able to assist you with obtaining ACAT and Centrelink assessments and guide you through the straightforward Craigcare admission process.
