Welcome to Craigcare Mornington from the Facility Manager, Nova Godley, and her experienced and wonderfully caring teams of nursing and allied health professionals. Nova and her team will ensure that your stay with us is a rewarding one that is guided by our core values of passion, respect, warmth, attentiveness and a genuine pleasure in serving our residents and their loved ones.

Our Facilities

Craigcare Mornington is a purpose built 124 bed nursing home and hostel set on the beautiful Mornington peninsula. The home benefits from many local facilities including shopping and local transport. The site and the home are securely designed and are fully functional to allow our experienced staff to provide a first class service to every resident.

The hostel comprises of 34 single rooms with ensuite bathroom facilities whilst the nursing home accommodates 80 residents in a mix of single and shared rooms.

The whole of the home is fully accessible by wheelchair.

Our facilities include television and lounge rooms, the scene of many resident events and celebrations, dining rooms, therapy and hairdressing rooms. The dedicated minibus allows the residents to participate in the regular organised outings.

We provide Low Care hostel accommodation, High Care nursing home accommodation, respite and emergency respite accommodation together with convalescent care.

Our Care

Residents enjoy friendly and professional care at all times with nursing care provided 24 hours a day which combined with our dedicated activities staff ensures the physical and social well being of each resident is maintained.

There are specially trained and skilled staff to meet the varying needs of all our residents.

These include:
• Registered nurses.
• Registered nurses with additional qualifications in management, palliative care and continence management.
• Enrolled nurses and nursing assistants are valued members of the team.

Our allied health staff provide a range of services including:
• Physiotherapy.
• Occupational Therapy.
• Consultant Nutritionist.
• Speech Therapy Consultant..
• Podiatry.
• Library Services.
• Hairdresser.
• Church services for most denominations.

We also provide an extensive activity programme tailored to individual needs and interests which include:
• Outings to local shopping and other amenity areas.
• Concerts.
• Shopping.
• Film going.
• Cooking.
• Happy Hour.
• Arts & Crafts

What’s involved in securing a bed or an independent living unit?

In the first instance you should make contact with our facility manager, Nova Godley, or a member of her fabulous management team who will be happy to provide you with as much information about the home and its facilities as you require. You will also be able to arrange to visit the home where again our manager will be pleased to help you with further information and personally tailored guidance and advice which will allow you and your loved ones to make an informed decision. She will also be able to assist you with obtaining ACAT and Centrelink assessments and guide you through the straightforward Craigcare admission process.
