Welcome to the Craigcare web-site. I hope that you find the information we have provided to be informative and helpful.
The decision to go into care is often made at a time of great stress: Mum or Dad has had a health crisis and is no longer able to live an independent and safe life at home. In this pressurised environment, people often choose a residential facility based solely on their perception of the bricks and mortar or the sophisticated marketing materials. However it is the quality of the care that they will receive that ultimately determines the level of their happiness and well-being.
At Craigcare, we invest time in getting to know our residents individually. Discovering that Dad was a shearer in his youth, or Mum fled Europe as a child, helps us customise their care plan to enhance their happiness and well-being. Every admission to one of our facilities is the subject of a detailed family conference, often involving the individual’s GP, with the aim of identifying the resident’s individual preferences and their individual care needs. It is part of our ongoing process of continually improving to deliver the highest quality of care to your loved one.
We believe that our employees deserve the same support and respect as our residents. As a result our professional and committed staff ensures continuity of care for our residents. Many of our team have been with us for significant periods of their careers and are fully trained in the rigorous Craigcare policies and procedures as well as adopting our core values of Passion, Respect, Warmth, Attentiveness and our Pleasure in Serving.
As baby boomers start to age, the residential and community care sector will undergo dramatic change. Whether we’re helping someone live independently in their own home, or have the privilege of nursing them in their final days, Craigcare’s approach will always be one of care, respect and honouring individuality.
I hope that we have the privilege of meeting with you and demonstrating our interest and abilities to care for your loved one.
Mr John Gillett
